Life's little challenges

        Life is so unperdictable.



        Once upon a time, a girl from Taiwan studying in the UK went to Ireland.



        She stayed at her friend's. That friend then came to visit her a couple times in Newcastle. They'd cook together, take walks together, talk to each other and hold each other's hands when they can. Even during the long drives between Belfast and Dublin whenever the girl visited the guy.



        He said it wasn't serious, and she agreed. Long distances are something that's dreadful for both of them.



        They were just, seeing each other.



        Then the girl decided to take a trip back to Taiwan after 15 months of living in a foreign country.



        3 weeks.



        When she got back she received a text from the guy, saying they should cool it off, saying he told her so and so, and saying he's backing off.



        She didn't know what went wrong, and she didn't know whether or not to cry.



        But she did know that it ment he wouldn't show anymore, she's been through this enough of times to know like "taking it slow", "cooling off" and "backing down" means the guy's giving up.



        So she cried anyway.



        "Live's little challenges," a guy friend of hers said.



        "Fuck that!" she said.



        So she's wiping the tears off and going out for a wander. So she's hoping she'll find someone in the future that wouldn't hurt her, like she had always hoped. So she's going for a shot or two tonight to try and forget it still hurts.



        So she's hoping to get over the darn thing and never to be hurt again, if that's the quickest way out.



        So she's trying to pull herself together for the exams and papers she has to face for the next two weeks.



        Life sucks. Shit happens and life's still ticking.



        She still wonders why it is so easy for guys.



        She tried to smile in the cold.



        Trying, harder, to say "fuck it" and still smile.



        Shit happens, life goes on. It's just another fall.



        She is trying to believe she's still got the strength and courage to get up again.



        She tries.
